I really loved Mid-Autumn Festival this year, and would express my deepest gratitude to our Chinese family. They organized everything so well: we went to Luzhi ancient Town had a walk on old streets, visited several museums. Vicky, our host mother, told us lots of interesting facts about China. Especially the hard position of women during Ming and Qing dynasties, they were only allowed to stay inside the house, not going outside!
Then we took a boat trip. It was amazing feeling of calm and tranquility on the water in the middle of crowded streets of the ancient town.
My deepest impression from Luzhi was Tang Dynasty Stone carving in Baosheng Temple. That is awesome work of art, I wonder why it is so underestimated!
All thanks to our host Chinese “mother”. After the busy day in Luzhi we had a dinner with our Chinese family. That was real Mid-Autumn experience, with warm feeling of genuine togetherness. We shared delicious meals, talking about customs and traditions in our countries, and there is so much in common!
Vicky bought me 米酒, it was really delicious! After our host family brought us to the dormitory, I shared it with some group mates. We were drinking it in the garden under the Full Moon, sharing our dreams and aspirations, speaking about best things in life, and our hearts were full of gratitude.
