He finished his graduate program at the Journalism Department of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Since 1990, Ding has served as a correspondent in Sweden, Belgium (European Union), the United Nations (New York, US), and the Asia-Pacific (Bangkok, Thailand), and also has been the deputy director of the People’s Daily’s International News Department. In recent years, he has written numerous books, editorial articles on politics and economic issues, drawing great attention and winning many news prizes in China.
