1.How to apply for the Master's program at the SRS of RUC?

Applicants can login to the International Student Application System of Renmin University of China and upload the required application materials according to the requirements.

2.What are the requirements for obtaining the Master’s degree?

The MCCS at SRS is a two-year program. Students will be awarded a Master’s Degree when they complete 31 credits, thesis writing and pass oral defense.

3.How is the learning environment of Suzhou campus?

Situated in a picturesque garden style campus, SRS provides students with modern teaching and learning facilities such as smart classrooms and a library with abundant digital learning resources.

4.How is the employment status of SRS graduates?

Graduates from SRS mainly work in home government departments, education fields, and well-known enterprises, with some pursuing further education, or starting their own business.

5.Is it possible for students to obtain employment and permanent residence in Suzhou after graduation?

6.What do students need to do after entering China?

Students must register at the local police station by wechat“苏州公安微警务” or go to the police station at 翰林邻里中心派出所,  within 24 hours after checking-in at the apartment for accommodation registration.

Required documents:

A. Passport;

B. Lease contract or the registration form of temporary residence (provided by the reception at Parfait);

C.  A Chinese phone number (You can get it from 中国移动 or 中国电信 from 翰林邻里中心 both near the local police station).

7.Materials Required for Registration:

A.Passport, including copies of the passport cover page, visa page, and entry page;

B.Lodging registration form from the local police station;

C.Original letter of admission;

D.JW202 form (provided by school);

E.1 two-inch photo;

F. Proof of insurance.

8.About Accommadation

We suggest all the students to live in Parfait, but you are allowed to find another place by yourselves.

When you come to Suzhou, please first go to the student dormitory in Parfait, Wencui Talent Apartment (文萃人才公寓芭菲国际公寓) directly.

Tips: The accommodation deposit needs to be in cash. If there's no first-level scholarship, you need to pay both the deposit and the first month’s rent fee together. Please be aware, Parfait will sign a one year contract with you before you check in, if you check out in advance, you can’t get your deposit back. Moreover, the student apartment will not provide the quilt and sheet, please buy it by yourselves. The bed is 1.1 meters wide and 2 meters long.

9.About Medical Insurance

International students studying in China need to purchase insurance before entering China (Package 800), according to the regulation of the Education Department of China.

10. About Physical Examination

Foreigners who come to China must provide health certificate when applying for a residence permit. Please make a reservation following the instruction on the website http://m.suz.ithc.cn/tjyy or on the official account “苏州国际旅行卫生保健中心” on WeChat.

11.About Work/Internship

Please keep in mind that you can not work or do internships without the permission of the entry and exit bureau. You can only apply for internship or work to support your study after you have finished all the courses, and 3 months before your graduation.

12.Attentions for students traveling outside

Students must report  to the administration staff of Silk Road School before leaving Suzhou. Please take your passport with you whenever you are going out. If you are not staying in a hotel, you need to go to the local police station for accommodation registration.
