Silk Road School Workshop 3——Ceramic Culture
On June 5th, the third workshop of Silk Road School took place in Room 414, Library. International students from countries including France, Georgia, Bangladesh, Ghana, Russia, and Zambia discussed the theme of 'ceramic culture.' The workshop was moderated by Professor Jiang Xiaoli, Deputy Dean of Silk Road School.
Students shared insights from their field study to Jingdezhen Ceramic University. Shota from Georgia discussed the evolution of Chinese ceramics, highlighting the importance of innovation.
Julie from France talked about the cultural exchange between China and Europe in ceramic art, emphasizing its role in driving global artistic innovation. Lola introduced Jingdezhen Ceramic University's international student program, noting its unique educational resources.
Talebur from Bangladesh compared the development of ceramic skills in China and his own country, noting the impact of commercial use, talent, and innovation on the industry.
After the presentations, students made a heated discussion on topics of like China's consistent excellence in porcelain craftsmanship and the uniqueness of Chinese porcelain, etc.
