Silk Road School held the International Seminar on the Joint Construction of National Teachers under the Belt and Road Initiative
On the morning of November 5, the International Seminar on the joint construction of national teachers under the Belt and Road Initiative with the theme of "High-quality Teachers, high-quality Education", initiated by the New Teachers Fund of Soochow University and sponsored by the UNESCO Center for Teacher Education, was held in Silk Road School. Professor Jiang Xiaoli, Deputy Dean of SRS, provided a lecture on the professional development of Chinese foreign language teachers. Forty-four education officials and experts from 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Kenya and so on, participated in the project.
Firstly, Jiang Xiaoli expressed a warm welcome to educational colleagues from all over the world, hoping to join hands with more colleagues in the international educational community through the continuous implementation of the seminar, and contribute to the power of Silk Road Institute for global teacher development. In the following lectures, Jiang Xiaoli explained and shared the evolution of teacher education theory, the main characteristics of teacher education research in the past 40 years, professional development of Chinese language teachers, action research in language education, and teacher training in international Chinese education. In addition, she discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on the field of education and the impact of intelligent tools on teaching methods with educational colleagues from various countries, and jointly promoted the high-quality development of teacher education.
