March 8th morning, the friendly volleyball match between teachers and students of Silk Road School (SRS) was successfully held in Renmin University of China (RUC) Suzhou Campus, in order to implement the guiding ideology of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on extensively carrying out national fitness activities and strengthening sports work, implement the requirements of Secretary Zhang Donggang and President Lin Shangli on ensuring the health of teachers and students and strengthening the construction of the “Educating Five Domains Simultaneously” addressed at the new semester work arrangement meeting of RUC, enhance the relationship between teachers and students of SRS, and promote the sporty spirit and arouse the vitality of spring.

On the court, the athletes sweat and work hard, serving, jumping, blocking, and spiking. Every time the ball was wonderfully pass and save, there burst great applause from the audience and even the other side of the players.

“Call out those who are ready to catch the ball and avoid interfering with each other.” Anastasia from Russia who has rich experience in volleyball matches guided her teammates carefully and adjusted her tactics in time.

"Fill in, fill in! “”'I'll do it!” “Catch the ball!” John from Ghana struggled to run and jump on the field, actively cooperated with his teammates, completed the attack again and again, and resolved the crisis again and again.

The faculty and staff of SRS had also stimulated their potential. They were brave enough to fight and showed their talents. Some of them hit several good serves in a row, which created defensive pressure on the opponent, then caught the opportunity when the opponent returned poorly, and finally won the game with steady passes and powerful smashes.

After an hour of competition, no matter winning or losing, all the players felt the spirit of unity, cooperation and tenacious struggle of the Chinese Women's Volleyball team, reflected the volitional quality of overcoming all difficulties and striving for victory, and showed the positive and aggressive outlook of the new semester. After the competition, Professor Jiang Xiaoli presented commemorative prizes to all the international students who participated in the competition.

Professor Jiang Xiaoli, Vice President of SRS and Vice President of International School, and other staff of SRS, along with students from Russia, Tajikistan, India, Ghana, Mexico, and Georgia participated in the event.
