On November 26, the International Symposium on "Chinese Modernization: A Civilizational Perspective in a Global Context" was held at Renmin University of China.

Scores of scholars hailing from the United States, Germany, Canada, India, Japan, Australia and other countries, attended the prestigious conference with the objective of discussing the civilizational heritage as well as the global significance of Chinese-style modernization. Sreyashi Choudhury, India student from Silk Road School, attended the seminar.

The symposium consisted of four sessions of keynote speeches. In the fourth keynote session, the graduate student Sreyashi Choudhury compared the social developments of China and India, highlighting the outstanding achievements of Chinese modernization in poverty eradication.

In the exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, it is impossible for any culture to completely reject other cultures and exist independently, and this civilizational concept that emphasizes inclusiveness, reciprocity, openness and innovation has been profoundly reflected in the process of Chinese-style modernization.
