Release date:2023-03-30 writing:

On March 25, Du Peng, Vice President of Renmin University of China and Dean of Silk Road School (SRS), led a group of teachers and students from SRS to Lanxi for a field trip. They visited the ancient town of Youbu, ZhugeBagua Village andHongshiGroup, etc., explaining and promoting excellent culture with Chinese characteristics, Chinese spirit and wisdom, as well as successful cases of Chinese enterprises "going global".

There's a poem that says, in small city Jinhua, lies a big countyLanxi, while in Lanxi, lies a famous town Youbu. The Old Street of Youbu, five or six meters wide, is lined with shops on both sides. Each store has set up a long table under the eaves of the front door, equipped with benches and square stools, and is crowded with people having morning tea. It is said that this place has been like this almost every day, rain or shine, for hundreds of years.

Youbu Morning Tea, a living fossil of Jiangnan folk custom, has a history of more than 1,300 years and is known as "the No.1 morning tea in regions south of the Yangtze River". Youbu Morning Tea has everything that one expects to find, such as soy milk, porridge, steamed buns, deep-fried dough sticks, steamed buns, hair cakes, wontons, dumplings, noodles, powder dried, etc. Only speaking of the category of cake, there are pancake, shortcake, wheat cake, green onion cake, preserved vegetable cake, pickled cabbage cake, etc. Besides, there are also a lot of Lanxi's unique characteristics, such as meat stuffed with eggs and eggs stuffed with meat.

Youbu is the hometown of Lang Jingshan, one of the earliest professional photojournalists in China. He pioneered photography education in China and is known as the "master of painting with a camera". Youbu Polaroid Antique Camera Museum is the only museum in China, with a collection of several world-class unique antique cameras, such as the national treasure "Hongqi20", the 1942 Zeiss Gold plated commemorative edition, Rolleiflex 60th anniversary edition, etc. The exhibition collection covers dozens of countries and regions around the world, with more than 1,000 antique cameras of various models, representing the extinction or development history of various brands and outlining a magnificent history of photographic technology iteration.

"I didn't expect to see so many historic cameras in China. It made me feel like I was in that era." "Said Jack from Tajikistan.

Youbu, based on the two major brands of "Lang Jingshan" and "Morning Tea", has been built into a differentiated art town, which presentsa vivid art and culture class for international students, while the design aesthetics of ZhugeBagua Village has left a deep impression on international students.

ZhugeBagua Village is the largest settlement of Zhuge Liang's descendants discovered so far. The architectural pattern of the village is arranged according to the pattern of "Eight Diagrams". It is the only ancient cultural village in China and unparalleled in the world where a large number of ancient dwellings of Ming and Qing dynasties are preserved. Marveling at the power of the "Eight Diagrams Formation", SRS students carefully followed the footsteps of the local staff in order not to get lost in the village.

In the Ancestral Hall of Zhuge Liang, everyone sat down in the middle of the hall and listened carefully to the explanation of An Admonition to My Sons written by Zhuge Liang, and finally recited the whole letter in unison. Everyone heard was moved.

At the end of the trip, the teachers and students came to Hongshi Group for a symposium. As a leading enterprise in China's cement industry,HongshiGroup has responded to the Belt and Road Initiative to layout in Southeast Asia, such as Nepal, Laos, Myanmar, etc., to participate in the high-quality development of the Belt and Road.

Sunny from Nepal said that HongshiGroup is very famous in Nepal. It is a very successful company and has a good reputation locally.

To make Chinese culture or Chinese enterprisesgradually turn from "going out" to "integrating into", needs more international envoys who know China and appreciate China as a bridge. SRS students all expressed their hope to become a link between China and the world and brought a brighter future to countries along the Belt and Road.
