Silk Road School students attend the Global Talent Job Fair

On November 1st, the Silk Road School invited its international students, from France, India, Poland, Russia, Mexico, Pakistan, Liberia, Bangladesh, Zambia, and other countries, to participate in the Global Talent Job Fair, held in Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District in Suzhou.
At the conference, guests and international students held a roundtable discussion on the needed traits required by enterprises offering a position on an international position, as well as discussing on the importance on how to do better in the transition from students to workers.
Four companies made recruitment presentations, to which students listened attentively, wrote down key information, and analyzed the development of the industry, while also looking for job opportunities.
Many enterprises participated in the recruitment fair, including Anhui Qiaqia Food(安徽洽洽食品), Zhejiang Chisage(浙江中哲新能源), VEICHI(伟创电器), Sinotrans (中国外运股份有限公司), Hangzhou Aibi Education Consulting(杭州爱彼教育有限公司), who were looking to recruit on any of their available positions, among them, international business, business operations, minority language translation, foreign trade, overseas marketing, functional management, among others.
The students took advantage of this opportunity to approach the booths they were interested in, and engaged with the representatives of the enterprises, resume in hand, hoping to find a suitable position in any of the companies, as well as being advised, on career planning.
In addition to the job fair, the university has also assigned multiple resources to create a series of employment and internship positions for international students interested on applying for a job in China.
The students have been grateful and have recognized the efforts made by the university to build such an ambitious and solid employment platform.
In the future, the school will continue to explore the opportunity of creating new practical internship programs, generating more opportunities for the international students to work in China, which will help them get to know the different Chinese industries, and the positions offered to an international audience; as well as helping the international students to do better and further help them on their career planning.
