Silk Road School held Academic Sharing Session of Tongzhou Global Development Forum
On the afternoon of October 29, the academic sharing session of Silk Road School Tongzhou Global Development Forum was held in Student Activity Room 414 of the Library. Students from Pakistan, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Brazil, Zambia and other countries participated in the event. Professor Jiang Xiaoli, Deputy Dean of Silk Road School , attended and presided over the event.
On October 19, 9 international students from Silk Road School participated in the Tongzhou Global Development Forum held in Beijing. They not only participated in the main forum, but also actively participated in all aspects of the the youth sub-forum. They had the opportunity to speak with former Slovenian President Turk, and shared this academic topics with more than 1,000 participants.
SYED INAM ALI (Pakistan) said that before attending the forum, he did not know much about the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and after listening to the speeches of the participants, he realized the international influence and unlimited potential of China as a big country in promoting global dialogue and cooperation and resolving the conflict of civilizations.
Luo Yilai (Ethiopia) said he was grateful to the school for giving him the opportunity to participate in such a high-end forum, which benefited him a lot. Through the sharing of the participants, he was more deeply aware of the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative to the social development of developing countries.
PEDRO (Brazil) said that he was very surprised that he could get access to more experts in the field outside of his classes, which was very helpful for him to get more first-hand information for academic writing.
NELLY (Zambia) said that from the speeches of the participants, she more affirmed the importance of AI in the development of future technologies, especially in the field of agriculture. She mentioned that she hopes to become a diplomat in the future and contribute herself to China-Africa friendship.
After listening to the students' sharing, Jiang Xiaoli expressed the hope that everyone can cherish the learning opportunity in China, make good plans, strive to improve their academic level and comprehensive quality, and contribute themselves to promote the exchange of world civilizations in the future.
