Silk Road School holds its first academic salon for the fall semester of 2024-2025
On the morning of October 22nd, Silk Road School (SRS) held its first academic salon for the fall semester of 2024-2025. Professor Lin Chongcheng from the School of International Relations came to SRS to have face-to-face communication with students from countries such as the United States, Russia, and Bangladesh.
Professor Lin first talked with the students about the difficulties and confusion they may encounter while studying in China, and gave his own advice. Under the humorous and relaxed atmosphere, the distance between the teacher and students quickly narrowed.
As the topic deepened, students seized the opportunity to exchange academic ideas with Professor Lin about academic issues, research directions, and difficulties encountered in paper writing. Professor Lin patiently answered each question and shared his own experience. Time passes unconsciously, and students learned a lot and left with reluctance.
Academic salon is a regular academic event held by SRS to enhance the relationship between teachers and students and encourage academic exchanges. It serves as an extension of students' classroom learning and a platform to promote and expand academic thinking. Hopefully, it can effectively enhance students' academic level and help nurture academic achievements through the sparks of ideological collision.
