Silk Road School went to Guangxi Normal University for Investigation
On the morning of March 13, Jiang Xiaoli, Deputy Dean of Silk Road School (SRS), with Jiang Luqiang, student affairs assistant of SRS, went to the School of International Culture and Education of Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) for investigation. Sun Zhonghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of International Culture and Education, Meng Fanbi, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Luo Shiqing, Director of the International Student Management Section of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, warmly welcomed them and held a meeting with them.
During the meeting, Sun introduced the basic situation of international education there. Each year, the college receives about 1,500 long-term and short-term international students from more than 60 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Vietnam, and so on. Meng shared the teaching, management and training of international students in the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and focused on the students' language proficiency, daily management and internship.
Professor Jiang then introduced to the participants the overall situation of the four colleges at the Suzhou campus of Renmin University of China, as well as the positioning and personnel training of the SRS. Sun said SRS's 'Contemporary China Studies' program is professionally attractive to GXNU's international student community.
Finally, both sides had in-depth exchanges on inter-college cooperation mechanisms such as enrollment linkage, student training linkage, research exchange visits, and faculty exchange, hoping to carry out continuous and in-depth exchanges and cooperation on enrollment and employment, personnel training, and international student management in the future.
