Under the warm spring sun, students formed groups and selected their favorite kite designs—elegant phoenixes, vibrantly colored swallows, and lifelike goldfish. With guidance from instructors, they assembled bamboo frames, attached spools, and adjusted their kites for flight. Alexander from Bangladesh eagerly launched his kite, hoping to be the first to send it soaring. Conor (U.S.) and Avi (Nepal) teamed up but faced repeated setbacks as their kite struggled against the wind. Undeterred, they refined their technique through trial and error, eventually succeeding in sending their kite into the sky. Across the field, students from different countries held their kite strings, chasing the same expanse of blue—a vivid tableau of cultural harmony.

As an intangible cultural heritage, kites embody the wisdom of  "harmony in diversity" (和而不同) , reflecting the essence of civilizational exchange. Just as the proverb says,  "A good wind lifts all kites" (好风凭借力) —may the Silk Road School serve as this empowering wind, helping students pursue their dreams while bridging hearts across cultures for a shared future of mutual flourishing ( 美美与共 ).
